The Ana Maria Primavesi is a Brazilian research vessel that features in Islands of the Anomaly and Nexus of the Anomaly. The ship is named after a prominent Brazilian scientist, a pioneer in agriculture and soil science. Doctor Ana Maria Primavesi lived from October 1920 to January 2020.
Led by Brazilian scientist Fernanda Carvalho, the research vessel is skippered by Oson Barbosa and crewed by Ray Carvalho, Ray’s brother Theo and the US engineer George Brummerhof. They are later joined by three Barbadian scientists: Eliana Bianchi, Arnoud Maynard and John McEnroy.
