I will also let you know when my books go on sale and I plan to send out more free content when it becomes available. Please note that the novella is only available in EPUB format.
Amidst the brutal war raging against the Caribbean Anomaly in 2031, a colossal airship stretching a thousand feet and packed with refugees passes above Savan Island. Among the passengers of The Reliant is thirteen-year-old Blake, an evacuee from Barbados and the youngest soul aboard. He is unaware that their journey is about to end in disaster.
Savan Island has been overrun and twisted by the anomaly, leaving a grotesque biome filled with hostile lifeforms. When the airship is attacked by flying creatures, it crash-lands on top of the island’s tree canopy, leaving its crew and passengers stranded in an alien wilderness.
Under the command of Captain Jerome Bennet, several elite military units embark on a high-stakes rescue mission. Among them are four close-knit friends, Petty Officers Michael García and Brian Bui, and signals intelligence specialists Declan Willis and Elias Cohen. But Willis and Cohen harbour a secret objective. They must unravel a mystery on Savan Island, a key that could turn the tide of the war, if they can survive long enough to find it.
Escape from Savan Island is crafted both for long-time readers of the trilogy and for newcomers stepping into my literary worlds for the very first time.
For those already familiar with the trilogy, this story offers a chance to revisit the richly imagined near-future shaped by the enigmatic and terrifying anomaly threat. It’s an opportunity to delve deeper and you are invited to explore the characters and their histories, and read the tales I didn’t get to tell in The Anomaly Trilogy.
However the novella was also written for new readers. It is a stand-alone story, with enough exposition to give context, without spoilers or lengthy info-dumps.
Writing Escape from Savan Island has been an incredibly rewarding creative challenge and one I’ve truly enjoyed undertaking.
There are several plot-lines in The Anomaly Trilogy that I would like to flesh out. There are also several minor characters who deserve to have their stories told. I intend to expand this universe with further tales, shedding light on different events and characters.
As a token of appreciation, I invite you to spend even more time in the near-future world of The Anomaly Trilogy. Looking ahead, I’ll be sharing additional free content set in this universe, available exclusively to subscribers. This will be alongside my upcoming, full-length, standalone novels currently in progress.
Thank you once again for your continued support. I hope you're as excited for the next installment as I am to write it.
